24” classic 1st cut Kamoe

This piece was inspired by a vintage piece at the Bishop Museum. The feathers were custom dyed to emulate the feathers of the yellow Mamo (now extinct) and green Kuhl’s Lorikeet feathers (critically endangered Polynesian bird) of the original piece. I created this piece in homage to the old ancestral arts.
